Providing Drug Testing For Manufacturing Companies Nationwide

Drug & Alcohol Program Administration For Manufacturing Plants & Warehouses

About Preferred Alliance

Many manufacturing companies are introducing employee drug-testing policies. Having a written drug testing policy in place lets employees know what is expected of them in regards to company standards.

Employers are implementing these policies for a variety of reasons, including keeping employees accountable and weeding out undesirable employees who know they won’t pass a drug test and try to cheat but also to improve workplace safety.

If employees know they are going to be tested initially, they are less likely to come to work under the influence, which lowers the rate of workplace accidents and creates a safer, more productive environment for everyone.

Choose Preferred Alliance. Your Trusted Nothern CA Drug Testing Administrator.

There are more than one type of employee drug testing programs available. There are a variety of options including what types of drugs are tested for and whether or not the testing is done on-site. There is also differences on when the testing is done. Some common types of drug testing include:

Drug tests administered as a condition of employment, if the potential employee doesn’t pass, then they aren’t hired. This can improve the quality of candidates because those who know they can’t pass a drug test are less likely to apply.

Random drug tests are conducted several times a year, the exact amount can be determined by employer needs. Random drug tests help keep employees on their best behavior because they never know when the testing will occur.

If the employer has reasons to suspect that an employee is under the influence, they can ask for a drug test by a trained company representative.

Testing after an accident where reasonable suspicion of drugs and/or alcohol are present.

This for employers who may have a second chance policy and allow an employee the opportunity to get help and come back to work under a testing program (Back to Work Agreement).

Preferred Alliance will sit down and help our customers design a drug-testing procedure that fits their individual needs, including what types of testing should be administered and what drugs they want to test for.
